Listen, do not judge us if you find us running around here with a handheld fan, extra sparkling water, and few pints of Halo Top ice cream. The world is kind of on fire in our hometown of Los Angeles. Within the past two weeks, we've seen temperatures as high as 122°. That's FARENHEIGHT. #Lawdhamercy. So we have no intentions of walking around pent up, buttoned up, or dressed up. No ma'am. Not today. Granted... we still work in fashion. So here's our team's tips and tricks to staying stylish and on-point... when really it's just too doggone hot to wear anything at all.  (Not trying to be extra, but it really is too hot to code switch right now.)

1. The Maxi Dress

Whoever invented this God's gift to women understands. We need something versatile, feminine, and polished. But we are channeling our inner India Arie alllll day. "Sometimes I shave my legs and sometimes... I don't." No shaving is required with this long silhouette. No worries. A light and breezy spaghetti strap maxi dress is the perfect solution to beat the heat. We love this particular style because the color-blocking adds an extra touch of sophistication.

2. The Duster Vest

We will NOT be wearing any blazers or jackets to our office in this weather. You can miss us with that type of oppressive long sleeve-age. Can't do it. Won't do it. Here's what we will do. A lightweight cupro duster vest with a sheer stripe panel down the back and a tie-waist to accentuate the poppin-like-Orville-Redenbacher curves? Oh yassss.

3. Bright Jogger Bottoms

Okay. we know what you're thinking. Sweatpants are hot. But these are not sweatpantsThese are baby french terry jogger pants. Do you know what that means?  The fabric feels more like a high-end, weightier, more luxurious tee shirt. Like socially acceptable pajama pants. We know, right?  Pair these with a tropical duster and a lace top? You're set. Even more importantly, this hue is one of the hottest rising color trends.

4. Cold-Shoulder Anything

We're reaching for this tencel cold-shoulder dress because the cut-outs let our shoulders breathe.  Don't confuse this fabric with heavy traditional denim. Tencel is actually lightweight, flowy, and breezy, so it's very breathable even during the summertime. The above-the-knee length helps ensure we get a little air on the bottom too.

5. Bermuda Shorts

Okay. We've got to talk about this. Yes... the slashes are up to the thigh. No, you may not wear these long frayed shorts to your office. But when did the weekend hit? This summer-must haves are just too perfect! Some of us don't want to run around in daisy dukes... Not hating on shorts that let the cheeks breathe; those are fine too. But there are a few of us who do want to get our groceries without you seeing all our cellulite and gorgeous stretch marks. (Some of us only want to share those warrior stripes with bae and the swimming pool.) Just wear what you love and makes you comfortable. Do you either way. But these  ???????? right  ???????? here  ???????? ? Give you the perfect amount of ventilation without showing every-which-a-thing, and that little ombre wash? Okay! We see you, the design team!
